What is radiofrequency microneedling?
Microneedling (also known as skin needling or collagen induction therapy) uses a fine needle to create microwounds within in the skin. This triggers the production elatin and collagen.
When radiofrequency is added to this treatment it is called radiofrequency microneedling. When triggered needles also release radiofrequency into the channels, causing additional damage. This enhances the effects of standard microneedling. The new skin that grows back will be thicker and smoother.

What’s the radiofrequency microneedling procedure like?
As with all of our treatments that involve needles this procedure is not pleasant but also not unbearable. Some salons will use numbing cream before proceeding with microneedling to make the treatment more relaxing but doing this actually reduces the overall result, the skin needs to know it has been injured to rejuvenate if numb it doesn’t commence the healing process during treatment.

What to expect during treatment
- To prevent infection the area will be thoroughly cleansed and alcohol wipes used
- The microneedling device makes tiny wounds in the skin, we will continually be pasting a product onto the area which the needles will then push deep into the deeper layers of skin, at the same time the tip of the needle releases radiofrequency waves into the wounds.
- The procedure duration depends on the size of the area.
- Once the treatment is completed if the area treated is able to be placed under our LED Light Therapy system, we then give 20 minutes of peace and quiet under the light to commence healing faster.
