We treat all Skin Types from fair to dark- and will adjust the machine accordingly to suit your Skin and Hair Types for the best results.
Before treatment you will be required to have a patch test – which helps us to decide your skin type and adjust the machine to achieve the best results for you. It is essential you let us know if you have a tan from the sun/sunbeds, as this can affect how the skin reacts and cause burning to your skin (all will be explained during your consultation).
We will request that you come into the salon already with the area shaved and once treatment begins will ask you to only shave or use a hair remover pen (our therapist will advise which to purchase) to remove hair in the treated area. Waxing, plucking or using removal creams will damage the follicles and the laser will not be able to enter it.

HOW DOES LASER HAIR REMOVAL WORK?
The Laser uses light to target hair follicles to prevent future growth. The light passes through the skin and targets the hair follicle, gradually destroying it. This is the most effective and long lasting Hair Removal treatment there is.
The laser emits light energy, which is absorbed by melanin in the hair. If done during the right stage of growth, it will cause the hair follicle to overheat and damages the follicle, stopping regrowth.
IS LASER HAIR REMOVAL SAFE?
Yes, there are strict protocols with laser hair removal and we follow every procedure correctly. It is completely unharmful to the skin, the laser only targets the hair follicle only. The laser uses an ice tip to cool the skin, there may be redness after treatment but should be gone within 24 hours.
